U.S EMBASSY INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The U.S. Embassy in San Salvador is seeking candidates for 4 unpaid temporary interns to assist the Consular Section under the Foreign National Student Intern Program. This service is uncompensated and not entitled to benefits.

4 Consular Assistant Interns – 6 months

  • Responsibilities:

    •  
      • Assist with activities such as pre-screening cases, data entry and other day to day tasks.

      • Assist in clerical functions

      • Review legal documentation

      • Interact with public

    • Desired Profile

      • Minimum availability of 30 hours per week

      • English at an intermediate level

      • Active university student in at least their 2nd year

To Apply

Submit a hard copy of all the documents listed below to the US Embassy’s North Gate in an envelope addressed to the Human Resources Office by November 25th, 2016

  • Completed application form

  • Statement of Interest

  • University transcripts

  • University authorization letter

  • Signed Gratuitous Service Agreement Form

  • Proof of private health insurance

Any interested student must comply with the following to be taken into consideration:

  • Must be 18 years or older, an active university student and a legal resident of El Salvador

  • U.S citizens are ineligible to apply

  1. Administrative Assistant Intern– 6 months

  • Responsibilities:

  • Assist with paper filing and organizing folders/binders

  • Other clerical activities as needed

  • Desired Profile

  • Minimum availability of 20 hours per week

  • English at an intermediate level

  • Active university student in at least their 2nd year of career
